About the Work
Sara M. T. Richter-Höhlich works across painting, drawing, printmaking, installation, object and performance.
At the centre of her practice is an interest in perception and transformation: how an image can become movement, how colour can occupy space, and how material can carry emotion and memory.
Her works often develop through experimental and intuitive processes. Rather than defining a fixed boundary between disciplines, she allows different media to influence and overlap with one another.
Collaboration is an important part of her practice. In projects involving other artists, musicians, dancers and performers, the individual work becomes part of a shared process in which dialogue, chance and exchange can shape the outcome.
Richter-Höhlich studied in Schneeberg and has developed her practice through exhibitions, residencies and collaborative projects in Germany and internationally. She lives and works between Hamburg and Chemnitz.
